A huge seizure of fake goods coming in from China was seized in Los Angeles on September 21. US Customs agents in coordination with other Federal agencies found over 31,000 counterfeit products in cargo containers entering the Long Beach seaport. The estimated value of the goods being counterfeited was over $3.5 million.
Seized in the haul were 25,000 fake Viagra pills and thousands of counterfeit clothing items bearing the names, logos and designs of Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Ferragamo, Moschino, Versace, and Nike. US Customs and Border Patrol said items like these usually end up being sold online as the real thing.
