If you own a domain name, like scamtracker.com, you probably get emails and even regular postal mail claiming your name is about to expire and you need to renew. The problem is, most of the time these come from scammers who aren’t your real domain registrar and they’re just looking to take your money.

The most recent one we received was from “info@domainregistrationcorp.com” who sent us an “important notice” that our domain was about to expire and be terminated. Here’s the text of the email, complete with misspelled words and horrible grammar.

Needless to say, this is all a scam. Our name isn’t registered with “Domain Registration Corp.” and we certainly aren’t paying $86 for an annual renewal. If you receive an email or letter that looks like this, throw it in the trash. It’s a total scam!
